The Fire Artifact

The Eternal Flame.

That was the name given to the Fire artifact, which symbolized the unique bond between all the Espers.

The will to act, not only for oneself, but also for others and for the world in which they lived, and whose resources and natural wealth they used.

A will that could take many forms, and that changed the color of the flame depending on how it was used.

Striving to study in order to develop humility gave it the color of the ocean, a reminder of the element of water and wisdom.

Taking the time to listen to others and help them when needed gave it the color of the silky grass gently carried by the wind.

Trying to keep control of one’s behavior despite difficult situations, which could allow one’s Shadow to take control, gave it a color as radiant as daylight, with little flashes of lightning darting back and forth around it.

Taking care of one’s physical and mental health gave it an orange color that recalled the imposing mountain of the Land of Earth, whose summit could be seen by everyone on Esperia.

And finally, this flame was eternal.

Not because the Espers were immortal.

But because this responsibility to act for the world was a duty passed down from generation to generation.

A cycle that was therefore eternal, as long as this flame was properly shared, and the Espers continued to take responsibility while thinking of future generations.
