If there is one Shadow that causes a great deal of harm, whether on an individual scale or on a broader scale, it is surely that of Empathy.
It often takes control of behavior when emotions speak for themselves: anger, fear, suspicion.
It is often said that the beings who can hurt us the most are also those who are closest to us.
The Espers now knew this part that had always resided within them, and the renewal of Esperia was then possible.
For it seemed essential that individuals know themselves better in order to create a society whose fundamental principles would truly be harmony with nature and among the five elements.
To perceive one’s Shadow, and in particular that of Empathy, and above all, to undertake the work of taming it…
That was the responsibility of every Esper.
For this Shadow existed within each of them, and taming it could only be done by its own host.
To help them with this task, which seemed enormous to some, even impossible, there were the Seven Shapes, who had become the symbols of the development of the StarDust.
For in order to perceive their Shadow, the Espers first had to nurture the light that, too, had always existed within them: their own StarDust…
