The StarDust and the Shadow

Vati, the Shape of Wisdom, stumbled upon the discovery of not only the StarDust, but also the Shadow. Every living creature possessed a Shadow that could be revealed only when its own StarDust was finally unlocked.

Plants and animals held a natural balance between their StarDust and Shadow, but the Espers did not.

This became the subject of many studies within the Department of Research at the Great Library of Esperia, for it soon became clear that no harmony could be achieved without reaching a consensus on how to develop the StarDust of every Esper in the world.

Vati reflected: “When the Chaos War ended, it was mere chance that all Espers were blindly fighting one another. Yet it created a unique opportunity to expose them all to the StarDust…”

We did not realize we were depleting the very source of our magic until then…
