Useless Debates

The Seven Shapes didn’t get where they are by pleasing the people or by relying on their magic.

For the Five Elements, the Shapes were known as the strongest at that time, yet it was not through force that they chose to lead by example.

On the contrary, their effort to write the principles of One Daily Tale and to rally the Five Elements around the core cause of nurturing the StarDust led many—still attached to their more glorious past—to resent them.

They also understood that this was work that needed to be done not only now, but carried on through the next generations, through education.

“We have a unique chance, now that the StarDust has been revealed to all of the Espers. But the future depends on how we guide the next generations,” said Vati, the Shape of Wisdom.

She feared that, once again, after some time, the unity that had brought knowledge about the StarDust would fade, and eventually lead to useless debates like before.

“There was a time when each Element thought only about its own profits and benefits, without considering the consequences for nature and for the only planet we all share. A truce could never be found, because there was no real trust. We couldn’t hear one another, and no one even tried to understand what the others had to say,” she continued.

“That’s why now is the time to change how we perceive Esperia! With the StarDust, we finally have the chance to create a world of peace and harmony!” she said, great hope shining in her eyes.
