What Do We Really Need?

It was a question that often came up in the debates at the Great Library of Esperia, which, since the end of the Chaos War, had served Espers from all over the world as a place to exchange ideas, discuss, and try to find compromises on difficult issues.

The Chaos War had indeed brought to everyone’s attention problems that had already existed for decades, but had been concealed by the illusion of a civilization ever more focused on growth and abundance.

The new fashionable gadgets, made possible in particular by the use of magic, which had developed at a breathtaking pace throughout Esperia, were everywhere, consuming ever more resources for a usefulness that was, quite rightly, being called into question.

And therefore to finally do what should have been done for years, even centuries.

To discuss how to solve truly complex problems, bringing together many different fields of expertise…

And also, and perhaps most importantly, problems that can only be solved through everyone’s efforts, by helping one another rather than distrusting each other…

The StarDust revealed at the end of the Chaos War became an unexpected catalyst for the Espers.

It was an extraordinary opportunity to rebuild an entire system while finally taking into account the physical reality of the world in which they all lived: the one and only planet they all shared…

    The Importance of Nuance

The values of Esper civilization, decided following the end of the Chaos War, had been chosen not without difficulty, after sometimes long and tedious, yet essential, discussions about points and subjects that had never truly been addressed before. The revelation of the StarDust, as well as the existence of Atma, the Shape of Balance, had…

What Will the World Look Like for Future Generations

    What Seems Obvious to Us…

It is not necessarily so for others. And if this conclusion may seem trivial, we still have to have thought about it in order to perceive it. Global Understanding Impossible Without Compromise

And the world before the war was far from being a world where making compromises came naturally. On the contrary, by exacerbating individualism, it had become…

    The Importance of Children’s Education

If there was one thing that all the Esper children on the planet shared, it was their natural ability to learn new things quickly and to retain the values they learned for the rest of their lives. Obviously, these values can evolve over time, but for a child whose values have not yet been established,…
