An Eternal Pursuit for Youth

The Element of Lightning wasn’t the only Element with Espers like Yakara, unwilling to comply with the principles of One Daily Tale.

From the Element of Earth, a powerful Esper devoted all his time, energy, and magic to trying to remain eternally young.

He was called Fujimi, and he couldn’t accept the fact that living things have a beginning and an end, and that his own youth and life would eventually fade away.

Of course, the principles written by Kenko, the Shape of Health, had the positive effect of creating healthy lives for all the Espers who decided to follow her guidance.

But the goal was never to stay young or to become immortal.

Such things, with the knowledge they currently possessed, were not possible, even for magic-using Espers.

Kenko would say, “This is why reminding ourselves of Shala, the Shape of Time, is key to the development of our StarDust. It helps us stay in touch with reality, and in doing so, it helps keep our minds healthy as well.”

A long time ago, when Shala first witnessed Chaos reigning— with the Five Elements and the Espers fighting tirelessly for thousands of years — she would never have dreamt that it would one day become the land of peace and harmony: Esperia. When the StarDust first appeared before the Five Elements, and the Espers who had battled for an endless time, it brought an eerie sensation of plenitude and stillness. The same is true for mental health. The mind is like a reservoir that can fill with all kinds of emotions. Sometimes it…

    Initial Condition

Eklea, the Shape of Awareness, often reminded her students that the Initial Condition of a situation has a significant impact on its outcome. Does that seem obvious? Perhaps—if you’ve thought about it. Does it mean we are bound by where we start? Of course not. But realizing that the starting point is not the same…

    Where ignorance is bliss…

…it is folly to be wise. Cha Cha reflected on this sentence. It was written in the 18th century by an English poet. At that time, all energy sources were renewable, with little risk of real damage to the environment, as everything was powered by natural elements or living beings. Sadly, history also shows that…

    The Chaos War

It took quite a long time before the Shape of Balance, Atma, and the meaning behind the word “Balance” finally became one of the accepted and evident keys to harmony in Esperia. In principle, it’s simple! In a world with limited resources, there is a clear need for restraint among the living beings who share,…
