Being Captivated by an Essential Subject

In the great library of Esperia, a conference led by Faya, the Shape of Will, was taking place.

Vingel, our little Fire dog, happened to pass by and took a look inside.

He heard Faya speak these words:

Very often, the problem is not a lack of willpower, courage, or effort. It is much simpler than that: we do not spend enough time focusing on the right subjects…”

“Instead of addressing the source of problems, we are often driven to urgently deal with their consequences, without ever truly tackling the heart of the issue.”

“It is like trying to fill a bathtub with a tiny glass of water while the bathtub itself is leaking.”

This little story made Vingel smile.

What, then, is the essential subject…” he wondered.

The Seven Shapes were present at the discussion, and together they presented the major challenges that needed to be addressed.

“To achieve lasting peace for everyone, the road will not be easy. It will require effort from all of us, but without it, we risk an extremely uncertain future for the generations to come…”

“The Five Elements must finally work hand in hand to create a shared vision for our civilization. We now know that without this, inequalities will continue throughout the world…”

“The values we promote will need to be rethought to build a fairer world, because the use of magic, although it has benefited us, has also produced unintended effects that we had not considered until now…”

“Aether, the life source of Esperia, has reached a very critical point. If it continues to decline, we are not exactly sure of the consequences. But one thing is clear: life on Esperia will become increasingly difficult…”

    Responsibility

In Esperia, because the 7 Shapes were at the center of how the land had developed, every single Esper was taught the importance of responsibility, and how to contribute to Esperia as a whole when trying new things. Scales

Of all the 7 Shapes, Eklea was the most difficult to grasp and understand. This is why all the Espers needed to take time, every single day, to remind themselves how tiny they were in the vastness of the multiple universes they lived in—but also how important they were to one another, and to the…

    The Great Library of Esperia

In Esperia, one of the most respected places was the Great Library. Not only was it filled with every kind of book—written by the Shapes themselves and by Espers on topics like nature or the peculiar laws of physics in their Universe, which allowed the arts of magic—but it was also a place to discuss…

    Balanced States

On Earth, many, many things have existed in a state of balance—long before the human species began dominating the planet. There was the natural cycle of water: clouds formed from the oceans, turned into rain, and flowed back through rivers to the seas. There was also the natural movement of winds, as warmer air tends…

    Take the Time

When was the last time you took a moment just for yourself—not doing anything, just a few minutes of simply being? I know that most of you will reply: “I don’t have time to do that.” Unfortunately, if you don’t have time for yourself, even just a few minutes a day, no one else can…

    The Brain

Cha Cha thought that, theoretically, on Earth, even though the Seven Shapes are unknown to everyone, the human brain might be what a potential StarDust looks like! Feeding and exercising our body indirectly powers our brain, and the better the source of energy—what we eat—the better our brain functions. Learning, of course, but also interacting…
