Physical and Mental Strength

In today’s lesson led by Kenko, the Shape of Health, the discussion was about the connection between physical and mental strength.

A young Esper, a little surprised, asked:
“Is there a connection between the two? I don’t really understand…”

Kenko smiled gently.

“Yes, the link is not easily visible if we have not taken the time to think about it. It comes from the StarDust that resides in every living being of Esperia.”

“Our StarDust?”

“Yes, it sparkles more strongly when we train both our body and our mind. The connection between the two lies here.”

“Having good mental health helps maintain good physical health. And the reverse is also true!”

“You have learned the Five elements to develop for a brighter StarDust, haven’t you?”

“Yes!” replied Guruo, a young Esper always eager to answer questions.

“Water, Wind, Lightning, Earth, and Fire.”

“Exactly. Earth represents health: it becomes the foundation on which the other elements rest. But since the Five elements are linked, our health can suffer if we neglect the other elements.”

Guruo concluded enthusiastically:
“The balance of the Five elements is the key to developing the StarDust that resides within each of us!”

Eklea, the Shape of Awareness, often reminded her students that the Initial Condition of a situation has a significant impact on its outcome. Does that seem obvious?
