The civilization of the Espers before the Chaos War had gradually drifted away from its foundations.
It was becoming increasingly difficult for them to give importance to their basic physiological needs, because these needs were no longer right in front of them.
For many, the days when searching for food took up most of the day were a distant memory.
And yet, these basic physiological needs still governed their daily lives.
Without good habits regarding nutrition, physical exercise, and sleep, the Espers’ abilities were quickly diminished.
That was why Kenko, the Shape of Health, constantly emphasized the importance of returning to the basics whenever she could.
And yes, sometimes the same things have to be repeated again and again without giving up so that they can finally be understood, learned, and developed…
For many of the Espers were still, in many ways, grown-up children. They were adults only in size, while their habits and behaviors were, for many of them, still quite childish.
Returning to the basics and becoming aware of the importance of one’s own health, so that one can then help others, surely isn’t the first step toward truly becoming an adult…
