Adapting to an Ageing Population

The use of magic had greatly improved access to healthcare and had, as a result, significantly extended the life expectancy of the Espers in a remarkably short time.

While many issues urgently needed to be debated, the pressure placed on the environment by the use of magic by billions of individuals had pushed these ethical questions into the background.

Yet adapting to an ageing population also means confronting these kinds of questions.

The Espers, those beings who had succeeded in mastering the entire planet, no longer seemed capable of discussing matters with one another.
